Old Electronics, What To Do

E-waste is not accepted through your local curbside program or at the District’s public recycling drop-off sites. Have old electronic devices piling up? There are options to recycle certain types of electronics. According to the Stark, Tuscarawas & Wayne Counties Recycling District, items like flat screen televisions can be recycled at locations throughout the district. They provide a search locator map to find the ones closest to you. Be sure to call to make sure they accept what kind of electronics you are wanting to dispose of. Older CRT televisions are not accepted at these locations due to the leaded glass used for the screen. You may dispose of these in the trash or landfill. The following is not a comprehensive list, it highlights a variety of household items.
