Youth Events

Faith United remains very active during the Pandemic. Out of love and care for everyone’s safety and well-being, virtually every ministry activity has continued in a way that is safe. We invite you to get connected through one or more of the many opportunities at Faith United and join us in person or online for our Sunday Worship, Wednesday Night Connections(Dinner & Worship) and our many programs, groups, and activities for adults, youth and children. Check back often for the latest updates.

Special Event Nights:
Every couple of months we have special event nights. We have had lock-ins, gone to movies together, gone to Starbucks, had Nerf Fights, and other party-like or hands on activities. WE HAVE SO MUCH FUN!

Confirmation (Bi-annually):
Our Confirmation program runs from January through May every other year for all 7th & 8th graders. Each confirmand is assigned a mentor from the church to walk alongside them during this rite of passage. The students and mentors meet for class every Sunday at 11am during this time to learn and review the basic tenets of the Christian faith. The confirmation class participates in “immersion experiences” where they put what they have learned to the test through activities such as service projects, prayer walks, team building activities, and retreats. Pastors Steve and Cara lead several “Pastor Sessions” throughout the spring and at the end of the classes each student makes a decision on whether or not they are ready to become a confirmed believer and member of the Christian faith, Methodist Church, and Faith United.

Each year we celebrate our graduates as they transistion from our ministry into their adulthood. This year we celebrated our graduates with specialized gift baskets to show them how loved they are in the midst of a strange time of graduation during the pandemic.

Youth Annual Conference (YAC ):
YAC ’19 Peace
Youth Annual Conference brought teens from all over Ohio to Lakeside (Lake Chautauqua) on June 7-9. There we focused on the theme “Peace” and learned about the peace that only Jesus can offer and how it transforms our lives. We learned from speaker Stephanie Caro, listened to spoken word from “Egypt Speaks”, and enjoyed being led in worship by Jacob Finn.

The Youth made their first stop at Castaway Bay for a day of swimming and fun before heading up to the lake for the conference. Check out our video from the weekend.
